Review of Contour’s Pole Mount Camera System

This past week we had the opportunity to test Contour‘s new pole mounted camera set up for some spring backcountry riding at Squaw Valley.  In the early morning we headed straight for Silverado to get some of the softened up faces and put this camera set up to the test.  If you enjoy documenting your adventures and sharing your story, we strongly encourage you to bring a POV (point of view camera) on your next journey.

Going to the Sea Otter Classic – April 19th to 22nd

This week marks one of the biggest weeks in the California cycling community with the oncoming of the famous Sea Otter Classic.  What makes this even incredibly special is that it brings together cyclists from a broad range of disciplines and skill sets to partake in one of the biggest races of the year.  Anyone from a beginner to a seasoned pro can partake and you will see everything from adrenaline junkie downhill racers to spandex laden road racers.

The Sea Otter Classic takes place at the famous Laguna Seca raceway.  Normally, this venue hosts some of the fastest cars in the planet on a long, sweeping course with numerous elevation changes.  For this weekend, the manpowered transmissions rule and anyone can shine in their respective racing class.

WTF You Gotta Read to Believe: YMCA Runs Security Drill But Fails to Tell Patrons

Needless to say, everyone freaked the you-know-what out

In Avon, Indiana, a local YMCA branch is in hot water for running a security drill that terrified local patrons who thought that their beloved gym and local hang-out for young Christian men was being taken over by a masked intruder.

According to a police report, close to a dozen officers rushed to the Y after receiving calls from patrons who were there working out. The report? A masked intruder, possibly with a gun, was running wildly throughout the building.

It turns out, though, that what everyone was seeing wasn’t real. The crazy masked man running around with a gun was an employee at the Y.
