Naked Girls + Boombox = Heads Turn

Ever wondered what would turn heads more- a Boombox or naked ladies? Well, here’s both:

The history of the boombox dates back to the early 70s, when Japanese audiomakers were able to fuse high performance audio technology into a portable package. When they made their way to the US in the 1980s, urban adolescents around the country immediately took notice and the boombox exploded onto the scene in major US cities such as Los Angeles, New York, and Washington DC. The image of the Boombox shaped the urban music culture of the 80s and 90s and inspired millions of impromptu dance parties, freestyle sessions, and overall ruckus. One thing was for sure, the Boombox was sure to turn heads:

Fast forward to 2012, and boomboxes are a sight hardly seen. Replaced by portable speaker devices in a microscopic proportion to the original, the effect is hardly the same. Most of these portable devices hardly make it out of the house. Many need to be plugged in, and when they don’t, they often require batteries. Most need to have a flat surface to dock the music player, and the high quality portable speakers often can’t take the abuses of the outside world. The effect of the original boombox is rarely seen in this day and age.

In the creation of the original Boombot, our goal was to design a portable speaker that could replicate the original purpose of the Boombox- to make mobile audio fun and accessible. Fun is key, and when you’ve got your music pumping around you, you’ll never believe who might jump in to your life and dance with you.

A few things we did to do just that:

1. Compact/Durable: Housed in ABS plastic, this can be taken anywhere, dropped, rolled on, even crashed on (more durable than most Boomboxes!)

2. Clip on: Built in clip allows users to clip it on and take it anywhere- hands free!

3. LOUD as $#%&!: All Boombots are engineered for optimal sound for the size. See the comparison with the Jawbone Jambox:

If you want to turn heads like you’ve got a boombox, but value your mobility, look no further than Boombotix.
