HVYHTTRS 36 Podcast is now LIVE Posted on March 19, 2012 by Lief Storer Reply Ben Strokin is at it again with his latest Podcast release. Apparently girls with guns are a really hot commodity right now and Ben Strokin is no stranger to this fine imagery. This mix is a little bit on the softer side for a typical Hvyhttrs Podcast, but it is still very wobbly nonetheless. He brings more of a deep and minimal bass which is becoming quite popular amongst the world of electronic/bass musicians looking to find new sound beyond the more abrasive womp predecessor. You can grab this new mix directly off Podomatic by clicking on the attractive lady album artwork above or find Hvyhttrs on iTunes and subscribe to that. You will not be disappointed with the awesomeness. Skirllex has brought dubstep to mass market, which is forcing the underground sound to evolve into new things. Some would say that Future Bass would be the offspring of the new market. Producers looking to find a somewhat cleaner sound and more variety than the generic kick-snare combo found in traditional dubstep. Don’t expect the beloved womp to go away as this is an integral part of bass music. Instead, we foresee the use of the heavy synth to be used in a more controlled manner that demonstrates true artistry.
