Gas-powered surfboard can hit 35MPH without catching a single wave

Awesome contraption for those who don’t have access to the ocean

Got the surfer’s urge but the ocean’s too far of a drive? You might want to check out the JetSurf board then: a gas-powered surfboard that lets you hang ten on any body of water you want!

The JetSurf includes a built-in 100cc gas engine that propels the rider and anyone or anything on it up to 35MPH.

It’s made from carbon fiber and Kevlar, so the boards are built to last. Since it has an engine on it, though, the thing isn’t light — it weighs close to 30lbs as a matter of fact. Despite this minor caveat, the board does still float, and on a full tank a rider can cruise around on it for over a half hour at a clip, whether it be sitting on it mini-boat-style or — a bit more naturally — standing up on the thing

Interested? Well, prepare to have your dreams of owning one crushed. The JetSurf will cost you 133 Boombot Rexs, or $16,000 in regular mathematical terminology. But hey, if you’re a landlocked surfer who has big dreams about standing tall out there in the water, it’s a small price to pay to satisfy that urge at your local swimming hole.
