Lexel DJ Mix at Coachella 2013

Our friend put together this mix at the Heineken tent in Coachella.  If you’re a fan of deep house and sensual beats, you should probably give this on a listen.  Lexel is an SF based DJ by night and a tech entrepreneur by day.  This one is to all those out there living the dual life.  Check out Lexel’s Soundcloud if you like what you hear.

What to bring to Coachella

YES

The time has come! In less than a week, Coachella Weekend 1 will be charging full force, with a lineup chalked full of artists such as Avicii, Afrojack, Datsik, Calvin Harris and more! Didn’t think so.

53 days to…. C O A C H E L L A

The time is almost upon us as Coachella draws near and the excitement arises… Coachella has been known as a legendary weekend filled with hazy memories of raging three days straight and listening to legendary artists fused with the hottest up and comers.

Just the buzz of the word “Coachella” gets us all excited. The idea of spending three days camping, being a little less civil, and a little more dirty compels us to engage in this yearly tradition. A tradition that has been acquired by many because its easy and the point is simple – it’s a 72 hour party with LIVE music, lots of people, and extreme boozing – what more could we ask for! The perfect spring break – even if it doesn’t come through at a time when you are on spring break, we can all afford to miss one day of classes, they won’t mind – it’s for a good cause! An experience of a lifetime, a time to meet new people, party with new and old friends, and come together to celebrate a collaboration of extremities of the music world!

Have you checked out the line up? Three days, 172 performances – some mainstream, some new… Some rock, some house, some hip-hop… Headliners include Kings of Leon, Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, Arcade Fire, and Modest Mouse among many other amazing artists. Thoughts? Is this the best Coachella could put together! Or does it even matter?

Is it the principle of the three-day bender in the middle of bumble-f*ck surrounded by people who are just looking for a good time… Or is it the music that brings this three-day event to capacity year after year – usually selling out within the first day!

I say it’s the coexistence of the two; the bender and the music– great music just makes the party better, but hey all we want to do is party while we are young –right!

If you haven’t done so yet, we highly suggest that if you are a fan of either partying or good music that you sacrifice the cost and buy a ticket – if you can even find one!
